S&T offers numerous opportunities for you to develop your leadership skills in any of our 200-plus recognized student organizations.
AFS is the student chapter for the American Foundry Society. Members produce castings during open and closed foundry days, help with outreach, and compete in competitions.
The Blacksmithing Club of Rolla is S&T's student blacksmithing club. They teach members the art and science of blacksmithing and work to promote it in the surrounding community. Members work to hone their skills and forge their own projects, as well as compete in the TMS Bladesmithing Competition.
Ceramic Artists of S&T is a group comprised of students who have a passion for creating stunning ceramic artwork. CAST prides itself in helping its members develop new skills to produce unique and captivating ceramic pieces.
The Gaffers Guild is S&T's glass blowing club. Open to all majors, they create their own glassware on a regular basis and often sell off completed projects to support their organization.
Keramos is the National Professional Ceramic Engineering Fraternity. Membership is by invitation only. The student group has won the outstanding national chapter award 10 of the last 12 years.
Material Advantage is a student group that provides a single low-cost membership to the materials science and engineering professional’s most preeminent societies: ACerS – The American Ceramic Society, AIST – Association for Iron & Steel Technology, ASM International – The Materials Information Society, TMS – The Minerals, Metals and Materials Society.
